  • Purpose

    Anti-Measles Phosphoprotein Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

    Specificity

This antibody reacts with Measles virus phosphoprotein.

    Cross-Reactivity

    Measles Virus

    Immunogen

    Recombinant Measles virus phosphoprotein.

    Isotype

    IgG1
  • Application Notes

    ELISA: use at 0.1-1.0 μg/mL
    Immunoblotting:
User should use at 1-5 μg/mL. A band of ~70 kDa is detected
    Immunocytochemistry: use at 2- 10 μg/mL on virus-infected cells.
    These are recommended concentrations.
End user should determine optimal concentrations for their applications.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only
  • Format

    Lyophilized

    Reconstitution

Reconstitute lyophilized antibody using ultrapure to a final concentration no less than 100 μg/mL. Reconstitution with PBS or Tris buffer is acceptable if required. Protein carrier, biocide or cryopreservative can be added as needed. Aliquot and store at -20C for longterm storage. Dilute immediately prior to use.

    Buffer

    0.1M Tris, 0.1M glycine, 2 % sucrose

    Storage

    -20 °C,-80 °C

    Storage Comment

This product is stable for at least one (1) year at -20°C to -70°C. Reconstituted product should be stored in appropriate aliquots to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

    Background

Phosphoprotein,Essential component of the RNA polymerase and the nascent chain assembly complex. Also required during RNA synthesis.,Measles virus (MeV) is an enveloped RNA virus in the Morbillivirus genus of the Paramyxoviridae family. Its non- segmented, negative-sense, single- stranded RNA genome is encapsidated by the viral nucleoprotein (N) within a helical nucleocapsid. Transcription and replication are carried out on this N:RNA complex by the viral polymerase complex which consists of two components, the large protein (L) and the phosphoprotein (P). MeV N consists of two regions: a structured N-terminal moiety, NCORE (aa 1â€""400), which contains all the regions necessary for self-assembly and RNA-binding, and a C-terminal domain, NTAIL(aa 401â€""525) that is intrinsically unstructured and is exposed at the surface of the viral nucleocapsid.,Protein P
