                                            Background
- Background: Pax transactivation domain-interacting protein (PTIP) is implicated in the DNA damage response. PTIP interacts with 53BP1 and PA1 and is part of a Set1-like histone methyltransferase (HMT) complex that also contains ASH2L, RBBP5, WDR5, hDPY-30, NCOA6, a novel protein PA-1 MLL3, MLL4, and UTX. PTIP is therefore suggested to have a role in the regulation of gene expression.
