  • Application Notes

    IP: 2 - 10 μg/mg lysate

WB: Not recommended. ABIN7451162 has not performed satisfactorily when used for WB of DCPS in crude preparations (e.g. whole cell lysate). This antibody can be used for WB of enriched (e.g. immunoprecipitated) sources of DCPS.

    Background

Background: DCPS is a decapping scavenger enzyme that catalyzes the cleavage of a residual cap structure following the degradation of mRNAs by the 3'->5' exosome-mediated mRNA decay pathway. DCPS Hydrolyzes cap analog structures like 7-methylguanosine nucleoside triphosphate (m7GpppG) with up to 10 nucleotide substrates (small capped oligoribonucleotides) and specifically releases 5'-phosphorylated RNA fragments and 7-methylguanosine monophosphate (m7GMP)[taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (Gene ID: 28960)].
