- Background
- Background: CRSP7 (cofactor required for Sp1 transcriptional activation, subunit 7) is a subunit of the CRSP (cofactor required for SP1 activation) complex, which, along with TFIID, is required for efficient activation by SP1. This protein is also a component of other multisubunit complexes such as thyroid hormone receptor-(TR-) associated protein (TRAP) and mediator complexes. CRSP7 is also known as MED26 (mediator complex subunit 26 [taken from NCBI Entrez Gene (GeneID: 9441)].
