Background
-
NCBI Full Gene Name: C-type lectin domain family 12 member A
Description: CD371, also known as CLEC12A, is a 30 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein of the C-type lectin family. Several alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Using ITIM in its cytoplasmic part, this receptor serves as a negative regulator of CD371-positive cells, mainly granulocytes and monocytes, and is involved in dendritic cell maturation. It is one of markers of myeloid cells, including acute myeloid leukemia.
