The mouse monoclonal antibody 50C1 recognizes an extracellular epitope of CD371, a type II transmembrane glycoprotein expressed above all on monocytes, macrophages, granulocytes and dendritic cells.
Purification
Purified antibody is conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) under optimum conditions and unconjugated antibody and free fluorochrome are removed by size-exclusion chromatography.

Background
CD371, also known as CLEC12A, is a 30 kDa type II transmembrane glycoprotein of the C-type lectin family. Several alternatively spliced isoforms have been described. Using ITIM in its cytoplasmic part, this receptor serves as a negative regulator of CD371-positive cells, mainly granulocytes and monocytes, and is involved in dendritic cell maturation. It is one of markers of myeloid cells, including acute myeloid leukemia.
