Clone

C2 C3 MBS-12
  • Purpose

    AFP (Alpha Fetoprotein)(C2 + C3 + MBS-12), CF740 conjugate

    Characteristics

Alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) is an oncofetal glycoprotein with a single chain of 70 kDa. This MAb is highly specific to AFP and shows no cross-reaction with other oncofetal antigens or serum albumin. AFP is normally synthesized in the liver, intestinal tract, and yolk sac of the fetus. Antibody to AFP has been shown to be useful in detecting hepatocellular carcinomas (HCC) and germ cell neoplasms, especially yolk sac tumors.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

    Immunogen

    Recombinant full-length human Alpha fetoprotein

    Isotype

    IgG
  • Application Notes

Immunohistology formalin-fixed 1-2 μg/mL. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 min followed by cooling at RT for 20 minutes. Immunofluorescence 0.5-1 μg/mL. Flow Cytometry 0.5-1 μg/million cells/0.1 mL. Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by user
