    AA 41-146

    Purpose

GCDFP-15 (Gross Cystic Disease Fluid Protein 15) (Breast Marker) (PIP/1571), CF740 conjugate

    Characteristics

This antibody recognizes a protein of 15 kDa, identified as Gross cystic disease fluid protein 15 (GCDFP-15). It is a major protein component of benign breast gross cysts. It is a known marker of breast cancer, as it is found in approximately 50 % of all breast cancer specimens. GCDFP-15, also known as PIP, for prolactin inducible protein, is a prolactin and androgen controlled protein. This antibody is useful in the identification of metastatic breast carcinoma, or fluid analysis.Primary antibodies are available purified, or with a selection of fluorescent CF® Dyes and other labels. CF® Dyes offer exceptional brightness and photostability. Note: Conjugates of blue fluorescent dyes like CF®405S and CF®405M are not recommended for detecting low abundance targets, because blue dyes have lower fluorescence and can give higher non-specific background than other dye colors.

    Immunogen

Recombinant human GCDFP-15 protein fragment (aa 41-146)

    Isotype

    IgG2a, kappa
  • Application Notes

Higher concentration may be required for direct detection using primary antibody conjugates than for indirect detection with secondary antibody. Immunofluorescence: 0.5-1 μg/mL. Immunohistology (formalin): 0.5-1 μg/mL. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues is enhanced by boiling tissue sections in 10 mM Tris buffer with1 mM EDTA. Flow Cytometry 0.5-1 μg/million cells/0.1 mL. Western blotting 0.5-1 μg/mL. Optimal dilution for a specific application should be determined by user
