Clone

4G4-A10
  • Specificity

Aggrecan is the major proteoglycan of human articular cartilage. The core protein is substituted by a number of keratan sulfate and chondroitin sulfate glycosaminoglycan chains. Monoclonal Ab 4G4/A10 is specific for a core protein epitope of human articular cartilage. Therefore, in addition to applications in immunochemistry and immunohistochemistry, the mAb 4G4/ A10 can be used for the detection of aggrecan core protein fragments released during human inflammatory or degenerative joint diseases into synovial fluid and serum.

    Purification

Purified human small basement membrane heparan sulfate proteoglycan (HS-PG). Protein G purified.

    Isotype

    IgG1 kappa
