Synthetic

Application

Blocking Peptide (BP), Western Blotting (WB)
  • Protein Region

    Middle Region

    Characteristics

This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-KDM4B Antibody. It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.
  • Application Notes

Optimal working dilution should be determined by the investigator.

    Restrictions

    For Research Use only
  • Format

    Lyophilized

    Reconstitution

Add 100 μL of sterile PBS. Final peptide concentration is 1 mg/mL in PBS.

    Storage

    -20 °C

    Storage Comment

For longer periods of storage, store at -20°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.
  • Target

    KDM4B (Lysine (K)-Specific Demethylase 4B (KDM4B))

    Background

Histone demethylase that specifically demethylates 'Lys-9' of histone H3, thereby playing a role in histone code. Does not demethylate histone H3 'Lys-4', H3 'Lys-27', H3 'Lys-36' nor H4 'Lys-20'. Only able to demethylate trimethylated H3 'Lys-9', with a weaker activity than KDM4A, KDM4C and KDM4D. Demethylation of Lys residue generates formaldehyde and succinate.
