Background
- FGFR2, also known as fibroblast growth factor receptor 2 isoform 2, belongs to the fibroblast growth factor receptor subfamily where amino acid sequence is highly conserved between members and throughout evolution. It plays an important regulatory role in skeletal development and bone formation. Its dysregulation results in a spectrum of bone and skin pathologies and several types of cancer. Recombinant human FGFR2, fused to hIgG-His-tag at C-terminus, was expressed in insect cell and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.
