    Characteristics
    Key Benefits:
    • Made to order protein - from design to production - by highly experienced protein experts.
    • Protein expressed in mammalian cells and purified in one-step affinity chromatography
    • The optimized expression system ensures reliability for intracellular, secreted and transmembrane proteins.
    • State-of-the-art algorithm used for plasmid design (Gene synthesis).
This protein is a made-to-order protein and will be made for the first time for your order. Our experts in the lab try to ensure that you receive soluble protein.

If you are not interested in a full length protein, please contact us for individual protein fragments.

The big advantage of ordering our made-to-order proteins in comparison to ordering custom made proteins from other companies is that there is no financial obligation in case the protein cannot be expressed or purified.

USH1C (Usher Syndrome 1C (Autosomal Recessive, Severe) (USH1C))
    Alternative Name
    USH1C (USH1C Products)
    Background
Harmonin (Antigen NY-CO-38/NY-CO-37) (Autoimmune enteropathy-related antigen AIE-75) (Protein PDZ-73) (Renal carcinoma antigen NY-REN-3) (Usher syndrome type-1C protein),FUNCTION: Anchoring/scaffolding protein that is a part of the functional network formed by USH1C, USH1G, CDH23 and MYO7A that mediates mechanotransduction in cochlear hair cells. Required for normal development and maintenance of cochlear hair cell bundles (By similarity). As part of the intermicrovillar adhesion complex/IMAC plays a role in brush border differentiation, controlling microvilli organization and length. Probably plays a central regulatory role in the assembly of the complex, recruiting CDHR2, CDHR5 and MYO7B to the microvilli tips (PubMed:24725409, PubMed:26812018). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q9ES64, ECO:0000269|PubMed:24725409, ECO:0000269|PubMed:26812018}.
