If you are looking for a specific domain and are interested in a partial protein or a different isoform, please contact us regarding an individual offer.

    Characteristics

    Key Benefits:
    • Predefined custom protein - from design to production - by highly experienced protein experts.
    • Protein expressed in mammalian cells and purified in one-step affinity chromatography
    • The optimized expression system ensures reliability for intracellular, secreted and transmembrane proteins.
    • State-of-the-art algorithm used for plasmid design (Gene synthesis).
This protein is a predefined protein and will be made for the first time for your order. Our experts in the lab try to ensure that you receive soluble protein.

If you are not interested in a full length protein, please contact us for individual protein fragments.

The big advantage of ordering our predefined custom proteins in comparison to ordering custom-made proteins from other companies is that there is no financial obligation in case the protein cannot be expressed or purified.

    Background

Active breakpoint cluster region-related protein,FUNCTION: Protein with a unique structure having two opposing regulatory activities toward small GTP-binding proteins. The C-terminus is a GTPase-activating protein domain which stimulates GTP hydrolysis by RAC1, RAC2 and CDC42. Accelerates the intrinsic rate of GTP hydrolysis of RAC1 or CDC42, leading to down-regulation of the active GTP-bound form. The central Dbl homology (DH) domain functions as guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) that modulates the GTPases CDC42, RHOA and RAC1. Promotes the conversion of CDC42, RHOA and RAC1 from the GDP-bound to the GTP-bound form (By similarity). Functions as an important negative regulator of neuronal RAC1 activity (PubMed:20962234). Regulates macrophage functions such as CSF-1 directed motility and phagocytosis through the modulation of RAC1 activity (PubMed:17116687). {ECO:0000250|UniProtKB:Q12979, ECO:0000269|PubMed:17116687, ECO:0000269|PubMed:20962234}.
