Purpose
- Chimeric Human IgE (JW8)
-
Specificity
- 4-Hydroxy-3-nitrophenylacetyl (NP)
-
Characteristics
- Recombinant chimeric IgE consisting of a human Fc heavy chain linked to the antigen binding variable region of a mouse hybridoma by in vitro DNA recombination. The antibody is specific for the hapten 4-Hydroxy-3-iodo-5-nitrophenylacetyl (NIP). IgE (JW8) recognizes the human high affinity IgE receptor (FceRIa) and does not interact with the corresponding IgE receptors of other species. It can be used as functional reagent in mast cell / basophil cellular assays, e.g. for controlled sensitization of such cells and subsequent cross-linking with NIP-BSA conjugate as specific cross-linking agent.
-
Purification
- Affinity - purified from cell culture supernatant by Immunoaffinity Chromatography on CH-Sepharose 4B – mouse anti-human IgE mAb (BSW17)
-
Sterility
- Sterile filtered
