    Purpose

    Mouse IgG2b Antibody Texas Red™ Conjugated Pre-adsorbed

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

Minimal crossreactivity against Bv, Hu, and Rb Serum Proteins Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Goat Serum, Mouse Serum and Mouse IgG2b. No reaction was observed against Bovine, Human, and Rabbit Serum Proteins. Specificity was confirmed by ELISA at less than 1 % of target signal.

    Characteristics

Anti-Mouse IgG2a Texas Red Antibody generated in goat detects reactivity to Mouse IgG2a (Gamma 2a chain).

    Purification

Anti-MOUSE IgG2b (Gamma 2b chain) Antibody was prepared from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity chromatography using antigens coupled to agarose beads followed by solid phase adsorption(s) to remove any unwanted reactivities.

    Immunogen

    Immunogen: Mouse IgG2b heavy chain

    Immunogen Type: Native Protein

    Background

Secreted as part of the adaptive immune response by plasma B cells, immunoglobulin G constitutes 75 % of serum immunoglobulins. IgG2, the second largest of IgG isotypes, comprises almost 25 % of IgG and has a low affinity for binding to the Fc receptor of phagocytic cells. Secondary Antibodies are available in a variety of formats and conjugate types. When choosing a secondary antibody product, consideration must be given to species and immunoglobulin specificity, conjugate type, fragment and chain specificity, level of cross-reactivity, and host-species source and fragment composition.
