  1. ABCC1 exports corticosterone but not cortisol. We show that ABCC1 is expressed in adipose tissue and that ABCC1 inhibition increases intracellular corticosterone, but not cortisol, and induces glucocorticoid-responsive gene transcription in adipocytes.

  2. GSK1904529A did not alter the expression level of MRP1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits), induced a G0/G1 phase cell cycle arrest. Our results indicated that GSK1904529A significantly increased the sensitivity of MRP1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits) overexpressing cells to chemotherapeutic agents.

  3. High MRP1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits) expression is associated with ovarian cancer.

  4. These results show that multidrug resistant leukemia cell microparticle regulation of ABCC1 in recipient cells is governed by the transfer of both miR (show MLXIP ELISA Kits)-326 and ABCB1 (show ABCB1 ELISA Kits) from donor cells

  5. Higher expression of ABCG2 (show ABCG2 ELISA Kits) and MRP1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits), and lower expression of CK19 (show KRT19 ELISA Kits) in papillary thyroid carcinomas with a solid component were associated with higher tumor recurrence rate and shorter disease-free survival.

  6. Visfatin (show NAMPT ELISA Kits) increases the nuclear translocation of Akt (show AKT1 ELISA Kits) and its binding with ABCC1. These data showed that visfatin (show NAMPT ELISA Kits) can decrease doxorubicin sensitivity of Non-small-cell lung cancer cells via activation of Akt (show AKT1 ELISA Kits)/MRP1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits).

  7. Studied hedgehog (show SHH ELISA Kits) signaling effect thru ATP-binding cassette (ABC (show ABCB6 ELISA Kits)) transporters in hepatoma drug sensitivity. Results suggest Hedgehog (show SHH ELISA Kits) signaling transcription factor Gli-2 (show GLI2 ELISA Kits) to be the primary regulator for drug sensitivity of hepatoma through the ABCC1 transporter.

  8. This study demonstrated that mitochondrial MRP-1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits) is expressed in the outer mitochondrial membrane and is a client protein of HSP90beta (show HSP90AB1 ELISA Kits).

  9. High ABCC1 expression is associated with hepatic fibrosis.

  10. This study shows direct binding between MRP1 (show MDM4 ELISA Kits) Linker 1 (L1MRP1) domain and alpha- and beta-tubulin (show TUBB ELISA Kits) subunits, using a scanning peptide approach

Cow (Bovine) ATP-Binding Cassette, Sub-Family C (CFTR/MRP), Member 1 (ABCC1) interaction partners

  1. Using electron cryomicroscopy, authors determined the molecular structures of bovine MRP1 in two conformations: an apo (show C9orf3 ELISA Kits) form at 3.5 A without any added substrate and a complex form at 3.3 A with one of its physiological substrates, leukotriene C4; structures show that by forming a single bipartite binding site, MRP1 can recognize a of substrates with different chemical structures.

  2. P-gp (show ABCB4 ELISA Kits), Bcrp (show ABCG2 ELISA Kits) and Mrp1 are functionally expressed in bovine/rat co-culture model and model is suitable for investigations of small molecule transport.

Mouse (Murine) ATP-Binding Cassette, Sub-Family C (CFTR/MRP), Member 1 (ABCC1) interaction partners

  1. Loss of ABCC1 expression is associated with neonatal hyperbilirubinemia.

  2. Data, including data from studies in knockout mice, suggest that Mrp1 is involved in development of vascular endothelial dysfunction in diabetic angiopathy; Mrp1 appears to be required for oxidative stress in endothelial cells due to hyperglycemia.

  3. Oxidant-enriched Tumorigenic Endothelial Cells (EOMA) cells survive a heavy oxidant burden by rapid efflux of GSSG, which is lethal if trapped within the cell. A hyperactive MRP-1 system for GSSG efflux acts as a critical survival factor for these cells, making it a potential target for EOMA therapeutics.

  4. P-gp, Bcrp, Mrp1 and Mrp4 are differentially expressed at the outer and inner blood retinal barrier, resulting in an altered ability to limit substrate distribution at the retina as compared with the blood brain barrier

  5. Lentivirus-based RNAi stably knocks down the expression of the Mrp1 gene in the established TM4 (show TPM4 ELISA Kits) sertoli cell line.

  6. neprilysin (show MME ELISA Kits) x ABCC1 double-deficient mice present a new model for early effects of amyloid-beta-related mild cognitive impairment that allows investigations without artificial overexpression of inherited Alzheimer's disease genes

  7. Expression of apoA-I (show APOA1 ELISA Kits) or ABCA1 (show ABCA1 ELISA Kits) can reduce steatosis by decreasing lipid storage in hepatocytes through lipid transport and may also reduce endoplasmic reticulum stress, further lessening hepatic steatosis

  8. Loss of Mrp1 coupled with reductions in steroid hormone levels leads to alterations in extrahepatic phase I, phase II and phase III metabolizing enzymes in a tissue-specific manner.

  9. Cd or H(2)O(2) exposure increased the expression of key transport genes, Mrp1 and Mrp2 (show ABCC2 ELISA Kits), in WT cells but not in metallothionein (show MT ELISA Kits)-null cells.

  10. These results identify Mrp1 as the transporter essential for S1P (show S1PR1 ELISA Kits) efflux from the endothelial cells and thus for inside-out S1P (show S1PR1 ELISA Kits) signaling to P-glycoprotein at the blood-brain and blood-spinal cord barriers.

  1. MRP1 appears to be primarily localized in the basolateral membrane of conjunctival epithelial cells and functions in the efflux of certain organic anions and inflammatory factors

ABCC1 Antigen Profile

Antigen Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra-and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This full transporter is a member of the MRP subfamily which is involved in multi-drug resistance. This protein functions as a multispecific organic anion transporter, with oxidized glutatione, cysteinyl leukotrienes, and activated aflatoxin B1 as substrates. This protein also transports glucuronides and sulfate conjugates of steroid hormones and bile salts. Alternatively spliced variants of this gene have been described but their full-length nature is unknown.
