Napsin-A (show NAPSA Antibodies), and Desmocollin-3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) were sensitive and specific markers for the diagnosis of AC and SCC (show CYP11A1 Antibodies), respectively. Both markers allowed classification of 54/60 cases into either AC or SCC (show CYP11A1 Antibodies).
Suggest that Dsc3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) can mediate FSH (show BRD2 Antibodies)-induced ovarian cancer cell proliferation by activating the EGFR (show EGFR Antibodies)/Akt (show AKT1 Antibodies) signaling pathway.
data suggests that DNA methylation (show HELLS Antibodies) contributes to down-regulation of DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) in prostate cancer, and loss of DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) predicts poor clinical outcome.
Low expression of DSC 1 (show RCAN1 Antibodies), 2, and 3 was observed in 55, 54, and 79 % of liver metastases.
The data show an important role of physiologically occurring transcript d2-d4 in normal brain function. Interference with this role by DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) is a likely pathological mechanism in X-chromosomal dystonia parkinsonism syndrome
High expression of desmocollin 1 (DSC1 (show DSC1 Antibodies)) was observed in 41.6%, DSC2 (show DSC2 Antibodies) in 58.0%, DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) in 61.4%, E-cadherin (show CDH1 Antibodies) in 71.4%, CDX2 (show CDX2 Antibodies) in 58.0%, PITX1 (show PITX1 Antibodies) in 55.0%, CDK4 (show CDK4 Antibodies) in 0.2%, TLE1 (show TLE1 Antibodies) in 1.3%, Factor H (show CFH Antibodies) in 42.5%, and MDM2 (show MDM2 Antibodies) in 0.2% of colorectal carcinomas.
The p53 (show TP53 Antibodies) target gene desmocollin 3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) acts as a novel tumor suppressor through inhibiting EGFR (show EGFR Antibodies)/ERK (show EPHB2 Antibodies) pathway in human lung cancer.
These findings demonstrate that IgG autoantibodies against an additional component of the desmosomes, Dsc3 (show DSC2 Antibodies), induce loss of keratinocyte adhesion and thus may contribute to blister formation in pemphigus.
Methylation status of DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) DNA is a prognostic marker for colorectal cancer. P53 (show TP53 Antibodies) appears to have an important role in regulating DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) expression.
Autoimmunity to DSC3 (show DSC2 Antibodies) in Pemphigus vulgaris (show DSG3 Antibodies).
plakoglobin (show JUP Antibodies) (Pg) in conjunction with lymphoid enhancer-binding factor 1 (Lef-1 (show LEF1 Antibodies)) differentially regulates the proximal promoters of Dsc2 (show DSC2 Antibodies) and Dsc3
hypothesize that DSC3 can contribute to the progression of tumors both by cell adhesion-dependent (skin surface) and likely by cell adhesion-independent (invading tumor cells) mechanisms
The function of DSC3 in the development and maintenance of stratified epithelia, in particular the epidermis and hair follicles, was investigated.
The protein encoded by this gene is a calcium-dependent glycoprotein that is a member of the desmocollin subfamily of the cadherin superfamily. These desmosomal family members, along with the desmogleins, are found primarily in epithelial cells where they constitute the adhesive proteins of the desmosome cell-cell junction and are required for cell adhesion and desmosome formation. The desmosomal family members are arranged in two clusters on chromosome 18, occupying less than 650 kb combined. Alternative splicing results in two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms.
