More Proteins for Fibrinogen beta Chain (FGB) Interaction Partners

Human Fibrinogen beta Chain (FGB) interaction partners

  1. The novel missense mutation in the FGB gene causes afibrinogenemia most probably by affecting the secretion of the fibrinogen beta-chain.

  2. fibrinogen aggregation is accompanied by the formation of beta-sheet conformation, and induction of non-native helical segments in the protein inhibits aggregation

  3. fibrinogen is an independent predictor of the angiographic presence of coronary artery disease in hypertensive patients.

  4. The molecular characterization of two novel afibrinogenemic mutations in the fibrinogen A alpha and fibrinogen B beta chain establishes the importance of the A alpha and B beta C-terminal region for normal fibrinogen assembly and secretion.

  5. novel mutation was identified in exon 2 of FGB caused by c.221G> T (dagger) substitution

  6. Fibrinogen was significantly increased in pediatric patients with complicated appendicitis compared to patients with uncomplicated appendicitis or non-specific abdominal pain.

  7. Our results show that higher levels of circulating chemerin (show RARRES2 Proteins), CRP (show CRP Proteins), fibrinogen, and ESR (show ESR1 Proteins) are associated with an increased risk of developing colorectal cancer

  8. We assessed the diagnostic accuracy of a newly developed laboratory score-based on CA125 (show MUC16 Proteins), platelet count (PLT (show NAAA Proteins)), C-reactive protein (CRP (show CRP Proteins)), and fibrinogen levels-in the preoperative diagnosis of adnexal mass

  9. Neutrophilic asthma patients and eosinophilic asthma patients had increased fibrinogen compared to controls.

  10. Here we report a new B[beta] gene mutation (Fibrinogen St Kilda) identified in two Caucasian sisters with reduced fibrinogen level (1.2-1.6 g/L) during investigation for recurrent early miscarriages.

Mouse (Murine) Fibrinogen beta Chain (FGB) interaction partners

  1. Data suggest that the interaction between Abeta and fibrinogen may be an important contributor to the vascular abnormalities found in Alzheimer's disease.

  2. beta(3) integrin, thrombin (show F2 Proteins), and Ca(2 (show CA2 Proteins)+) play critical roles in platelet aggregation without fibrinogen or VWF (show VWF Proteins)

Pig (Porcine) Fibrinogen beta Chain (FGB) interaction partners

  1. Data suggest the potential compensatory role of fibrinogen in restoring coagulation function in vivo after hemorrhagic shock.

Fibrinogen beta Chain (FGB) Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is the beta component of fibrinogen, a blood-borne glycoprotein comprised of three pairs of nonidentical polypeptide chains. Following vascular injury, fibrinogen is cleaved by thrombin to form fibrin which is the most abundant component of blood clots. In addition, various cleavage products of fibrinogen and fibrin regulate cell adhesion and spreading, display vasoconstrictor and chemotactic activities, and are mitogens for several cell types. Mutations in this gene lead to several disorders, including afibrinogenemia, dysfibrinogenemia, hypodysfibrinogenemia and thrombotic tendency.
