Sulfonation, an important step in the metabolism of many drugs, xenobiotics, hormones, and neurotransmitters, is catalyzed by sulfotransferases. Additionally we are shipping GAL3ST1 Antibodies (31) and many more products for this protein.

results suggest that heterozygosity at SNP rs2267161 in the gene encoding the CST enzyme confers increased risk of type 2 diabetes; females with the CC allele showed lower insulin (show INS Proteins) resistance
lipidomics analysis demonstrated anticipated sulfatide mass deficiency in CST (show CORT Proteins) defect mouse brain and revealed novel brain lipidome homeostasis in these mice.
Data indicate that mice with cerebroside sulfotransferases (Cst (show CORT Proteins)) and UDP-glucose:ceramide glucosyltransferase (Ugcg (show UGCG Proteins))/Cst (show CORT Proteins) deficiency had lower ammonium excretion.
Protein-overload mice exhibited marked kidney injuries, enhancement of hepatic oxidative stress, decreased levels of serum and hepatic sulfatides, and decreased expression of hepatic cerebroside sulfotransferase.
CST (show CORT Proteins)-deficient optic nerves were used to examine migration and proliferation of oligodendrocyte precursor cells.
These findings define transcriptional regulation of CST (Gal3st1) expression as a critical role for BORIS (show CTCFL Proteins) in spermatogenesis.
The number of OLs in the CST (show CORT Proteins)-null mice is also increased in the spinal cord and that this elevated OL population is maintained through, at least, 7 months of age.
Strong evidence is provided that murine cerebroside sulfotransferase localizes to the Golgi apparatus but not to the trans-Golgi network.
Sulfonation, an important step in the metabolism of many drugs, xenobiotics, hormones, and neurotransmitters, is catalyzed by sulfotransferases. The product of this gene is galactosylceramide sulfotransferase which catalyzes the conversion between 3'-phosphoadenylylsulfate + a galactosylceramide to adenosine 3',5'-bisphosphate + galactosylceramide sulfate. Activity of this sulfotransferase is enhanced in renal cell carcinoma.
