  1. annexin A2 (show ANXA2 Proteins) and S100A10 expressions are powerful predictors of serous ovarian cancer outcome.

  2. These data show that disruption of ANX2 (show ANXA2 Proteins)/p11 interaction results in reduced ALL cell adhesion to osteoblasts, increased ALL cell sensitization to chemotherapy, and suppression of ALL cell homing and engraftment.

  4. Overexpression of miR (show MLXIP Proteins)-590-5P reduced the activity of luciferase expressed by a vector bearing the 3' untranslated region of S100A10 mRNA. Ectopic miR (show MLXIP Proteins)-590-5P overexpression mediated by lentiviral infection decreased expression of S100A10.

  5. TPH1 (show TPH1 Proteins) gene polymorphisms and S100A10 expression, which correlate with 5-HT (show DDC Proteins) signaling were associated with ramosetron effectiveness in IBS-D, and may possibly lead to prospective identification of the resistance to treatment.

Mouse (Murine) S100 Calcium Binding Protein A10 (S100A10) interaction partners

  1. data indicate that focal inhibition of p11 action in the dorsal striatum could be a promising PD therapeutic target to improve motor function while reducing l-dopa-induced dyskinesias

  2. p11 homeostasis in the NAc, particularly in dopamine receptor-1 expressing medium spiny neurons, may underlie pathophysiological mechanisms of cocaine rewarding action.

  3. The level of hippocampal p11 determines the directionality of 5-HT(1B (show HTR1B Proteins))R action on emotional memory processing and modulates hippocampal functionality.

  4. p11 and AnxA2 (show ANXA2 Proteins) cooperate to create a unique binding pocket, but the optimal binding condition is not achieved without conformational changes associated with target binding. Upon interaction with the SMARCA3 (show HLTF Proteins) peptide, both Asp60 in p11 and Ser12 in AnxA2 (show ANXA2 Proteins) flip inward toward the peptide-binding groove, forming additional intermolecular hydrogen bonds.

  5. Lewis lung carcinoma or T241 fibrosarcoma growth was reduced in S100A10-deficient mice. S100A10 was required specifically for the migratory capability needed for macrophage tumor homing, a new rate-limiting step in tumor progression.

  6. An important role for S100A10 in the regulation of fibrinolysis and angiogenesis in vivo, suggesting that S100A10 plays a critical role in endothelial cell function.

  7. Data indicate that most p11 expressing cells in cerebral cortex, hippocampus, cerebellum, & caudate-putamen express HTR1B (show HTR1B Proteins) or co-express HTR1B (show HTR1B Proteins)/HTR4 (show HTR4 Proteins), suggesting crucial role for p11 in modulating actions of serotonin via these receptor subtypes.

  8. The authors inferred that S100A10 may play an important role in transpenetration of Cryptococcus neoformans across the vascular endothelia.

  9. Voluntary physical activity, but not locked wheel exposure, induced a robust increase in hippocampal mature BDNF (show BDNF Proteins) protein levels, as well as in p11 and tissue plasminogen activator (show PLAT Proteins) mRNA expression

  10. data demonstrate that p11 levels are regulated by BDNF (show BDNF Proteins) in vitro and in vivo and that the antidepressantlike effect of BDNF (show BDNF Proteins) in two well-established behavioral models requires p11.

S100A10 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the S100 family of proteins containing 2 EF-hand calcium-binding motifs. S100 proteins are localized in the cytoplasm and/or nucleus of a wide range of cells, and involved in the regulation of a number of cellular processes such as cell cycle progression and differentiation. S100 genes include at least 13 members which are located as a cluster on chromosome 1q21. This protein may function in exocytosis and endocytosis.
