Western Blotting (WB), Flow Cytometry (FACS), Immunohistochemistry (Paraffin-embedded Sections) (IHC (p)), Immunohistochemistry (Frozen Sections) (IHC (fro))
    Specificity
This antibody recognises CD147 (also known as basigin). OX-114 recognises both isoforms of CD147, the common form containing 2 Ig-like domains and the rare form containing 3 Ig-like domains. Note that for staining of whole blood samples increased amounts of antibody may be required due to the presence of CD147 on erythrocytes.
    Purification
    Affinity Chromatography on Protein G.
    Immunogen
    Fusion protein mCD147dO-2rCD4d3 +4.
    Clone
    OX114
    Isotype
    IgG1

    Background
CD147 is a cell surface glycoprotein that is widely expressed on leukocytes, red cells, platelets and endothelial cells. The reported functions of CD147 are diverse and include involvement in T-cell activation, cell adhesion and induction of matrix metalloproteinases.Synonyms: 5F7, BSG, Basigin, Collagenase stimulatory factor, EMMPRIN, Extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer, Leukocyte activation antigen M6, OK blood group antigen, TCSF, Tumor cell-derived collagenase stimulatory factor
