Clone

DA-7
  • Specificity

Reacts with a 45 kDa cytokeratin protein (cytokeratin 18). Keratin DA-7 specifically recongnizes glandular epithelial cells from gastro-intestinal tract, respiratory tract and urogenital tract, as well as endocrine and exocrine tissue and mesothelial cells. It is not reactive with stratified squamous epithelia (esophagus, epidermis and ectocervix). In transitional epithelium of the bladder, it reacts only with the superficial (umbrella) cells. DA-7 can distinguish adenocarcinomas and mesotheliomas from squamous cell carcinoma and non-epithelial tumors. Species Reactivity: Human, does not recognize others.
