Additional Information
| Alternative name | NSF (Vesicle fusing ATPase) |
| UniProt | P46459 |
| Immunogen | A synthetic peptide from the n-terminal of human NSF (Vesicle fusing ATPase) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen. The immunogen is homologous in mouse and rat. |
| Format | Lyophilized |
| Isotype | IgG |
| Description | FUNCTION: Required for vesicle-mediated transport. Catalyzes the fusion of transport vesicles within the Golgi cisternae. Is also required for transport from the endoplasmic reticulum to the Golgi stack. Seem to function as a fusion protein required for the delivery of cargo proteins to all compartments of the Golgi stack independent of vesicle origin. CATALYTIC ACTIVITY: ATP + H2O = ADP + phosphate. COFACTOR: Binds 1 magnesium ion per subunit. SUBUNIT: Homohexamer. Interacts with GABARAP and GABARAPL2. SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cytoplasm. Also known as: Vesicle fusing ATPase, N-ethylmaleimide sensitive fusion protein, NEM sensitive fusion protein, Vesicular fusion protein NSF. |
| Specificity | Appears to be specific for NSF. |
Application Details
| Application Notes | IHC, WB. A concentration of 10-50 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal concentration should be determined by the end user. Not yet tested in other applications. |
| Purity | IgG |
| Purification | Immunoaffinity chromatography |
| Storage | Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles. |
