Immunogen Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pSer1177 (T-Q-S (p) -F-S) derived from Human eNOS. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.
Isotype IgG
Specificity The antibody detects endogenous level of eNOS only when phosphorylated at serine 1177.
Purification The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Background Produces nitric oxide (NO) which is implicated in vascular smooth muscle relaxation through a cGMP-mediated signal transduction pathway. NO mediates vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF)-induced angiogenesis in coronary vessels and promotes blood clotting through the activation of platelets.
