    pTyr515

    Specificity

The antibody detects endogenous level of TrkB only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 515.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

    Immunogen

Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pTyr515 (P-Q-Y (p) -F-G) derived from Human TrkB. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

    Isotype

    IgG

    Background

Receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), neurotrophin-3 and neurotrophin-4/5 but not nerve growth factor (NGF). Involved in the development and/or maintenance of the nervous system. This is a tyrosine-protein kinase receptor. Known substrates for the TRK receptors are SHC1, PI-3 kinase, and PLC-gamma-1.
