Immunogen eptide with sequence C-SSPSQMMPHVQTHF, from the C Terminus of the protein sequence Genename: MTM1
Specificity This antibody detects MTM1 at C-term. Species Reactivity: Tested: Human. Expected from sequence similarity: Bovine.
Purification Affinity chromatography
Alternative Name Myotubularin / MTM1
Background Dual-specificity phosphatase that acts on both phosphotyrosine and phosphoserine. Could be involved in a signal transduction pathway necessary for late myogenesis, although its ubiquitous expression suggests a wider function.
Gene ID 4534
NCBI Accession NP_000243.1
UniProt Q13496
Application Notes Peptide ELISA: 1/16000. Western blot: 0.3 - 1 µg/ml. Approx 70kDa band observed in lysates of Human SkeletalMuscle and of cell line HepG2 (calculated MW of 69.9kDa according to NP_000243.1). Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
