Description: CD162 (P-selectin glycoprotein ligand-1, PSGL-1) is a sialomucin constitutively expressedas a disulfide-linked homodimer of two 120 kDa subunits on the surface of circulatingleukocytes. CD162 serves as a ligand for P- E- and L-selectin, with the highest affinity forP-selectin. It is thus involved in leukocyte rolling at the endothelial surfaces, prerequisite forfirm leukocyte adhesion and subsequent transendothelial migration. CD162 also mediatesleukocyte-platelet adhesion and interleukocyte contacts. Whereas serving as an adhessionmolecule on mature leukocytes, CD162 is a potent negative regulator of humanhematopoietic progenitors.

Specificity: The antibody TC2 reacts with CD162, a 220 kDa type I integral membrane proteinexpressed as disulfide-linked homodimer (sialomucin family). CD162 is present on the mostperipheral blood T lymphocytes, monocytes, granulocytes, it is also expressed on asubpopulation of B lymphocytes and CD34 + bone marrow cells.

Application Details

Application Notes: The reagent is designed for Flow Cytometry analysis of human blood cells using 20 µl reagent / 100 µl of whole blood or 10 6 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests.

Buffer: The reagent is provided in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azideand 0.2% (w/v) high-grade protease free Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) as a stabilizing agent.

Storage: Store in the dark at 2-8 o C. Do not freeze. Avoid prolonged exposure to light. Do not use after expiration date stamped on vial label.Short-term exposure to room temperature should not affect the quality of the reagent.However, if reagent is stored under any conditions other than those specified, the conditions must be verified by the user.
