Immunogen Polyclonal antibody produced in rabbits immunizing with a synthetic peptide corresponding to C-terminal residues of human ELP3(elongation protein 3 homolog)
Purification Purified by antigen-specific affinity chromatography.
Background Elongator is a component of early elongation complexes formed in cell nuclear extracts and can interact directly with RNA polymerase II. ELP contains four isoforms: ELP1, ELP2, ELP3, and Ad4BP/SF1. ELP1 functioned as a repressor. The ELP2, ELP3, and Ad4BP/SF1 functioned as transactivators. Complex patterns of expression of these isoforms were observed in various tissues. All four ELP isoforms were expressed only in EC cells.
Application Notes ELISA, Western blotting: 1µg/ml for 2hrs.
