    Characteristics
This is a synthetic peptide designed for use in combination with anti-PABPC5 antibody (Catalog #: ARP41090_P050). It may block above mentioned antibody from binding to its target protein in western blot and/or immunohistochecmistry under proper experimental settings. There is no guarantee for its use in other applications.

    Background
PABPC5 binds the poly(A) tail of mRNA. PABPC5 may be involved in cytoplasmic regulatory processes of mRNA metabolism. PABPC5 can probably bind to cytoplasmic RNA sequences other than poly(A) in vivo.
