    Background
Alpha-1-microglobulin, also known as AMBP, is an immunomodulatory protein with a broad spectrum of possible clinical applications and seems a promising marker for evaluation of tubular function. AMBP specifically interacts with the ORF3 protein of hepatitis E virus and has a direct role in enhancing alpha-1 microglobulin export from the hepatocyte. Recombinant human AMBP protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. Synonyms: Protein AMBP, EDC1, HCP, HI30, IATIL, ITI, ITIL, ITILC, UTI. NCBI no.: NP_001624
    Molecular Weight
    23.1 kDa (205aa), confirmed by MALDI-TOF
