Human Interleukin 19 (IL19) interaction partners

  1. IL-19 was increased in the sera and skin of patients with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma and atopic dermatitis.

  2. IL-19 is significantly positive correlated with UAE and Cystatin C. IL-19 may play an important role that contributes to the progression of diabetic nephropathy.

  3. The authors identified highly significant associations with better melanoma overall survival for rs6673928, impacting IL19 expression (HR, 0.56; 95% CI, 0.41-0.77; P = 0.0002) and rs6695772, controlling the expression of BATF3 (HR, 1.64; 95% CI, 1.19-2.24; P = 0.0019).

  4. a set of IL-17A-regulated genes in keratinocytes, which recapitulate typical psoriasis genes exemplified by DEFB4A, S100A7, IL19 and CSF3, based on the differences in the expression profiles of cells stimulated with six cytokines versus cells stimulated with only five cytokines lacking IL-17A.

  5. findings show that the expression of IL19 in biopsies of patients with active ulcerative colitis was increased compared with patients with quiescent ulcerative colitis; microbial-driven expression of IL-19 by intestinal macrophages may contribute to the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease

  6. The SNP of IL-19 rs1798 may be associated with susceptibility to hepatitis B in children.

  7. The frequency of allele C in rs2243188 was lower in the SLE population.

  8. These data are the first to implicate the association between the interleukin-19 and type 2 diabetes mellitus with vascular complications.

  9. IL-19 and Ang-2 might be involved in angiogenesis of T2 Diabetes mellitus complications.

  10. This study demonstrated that IL-19 and IL-24 are associated with the modulation of T-cell responses in filarial infections.

  11. Data show reduced cytokines IL-10 and IL-19 expression, and enhanced IL-20 and il-1 beta expression in chronic recurrent multifocal osteomyelitis (CRMO) monocytes.

  12. The level of IL-19 in the peripheral blood of allergic rhinitis(AR) patients increased and was related with the clinical severity of AR.

  13. these findings suggest that molecular features at the IL19 locus may modestly alter the establishment of HIV-1 infection.

  14. IL-19 rs2243188 SNP was associated with the susceptibility to lupus nephritis in a Chinese population; but the minor C allele of SNP rs2243188 might be a protective factor for systemic lupus erythematosus

  15. These findings indicate that IL-19 production is diminished in SpA. Taken together, impaired IL-19 control of the innate immune system might be involved in the pathogenesis of SpA.

  16. Unstimulated and TLR-activated monocytes expressed significantly lower IL-19 mRNA in active CD patients.Exogenous IL-19 had an anti-inflammatory effect on HC but not in CD.

  17. Distribution of interleukin-10 family cytokines in serum and synovial fluid of patients with inflammatory arthritis reveals different

  18. IL-19 as a component of the IL-23/IL-17 axis strengthens the IL-17A action and might be a biomarker for the activity of this axis in chronic inflammatory disorders

  19. we delineate the detailed molecular pathway for IL-4 up-regulation of IL-19 in keratinocytes, which may play an important role in AD pathogenesis.

  20. results suggest that the IL-19 gene might slightly contribute to the genetic risk of schizophrenia.

Mouse (Murine) Interleukin 19 (IL19) interaction partners

  1. Data, including data from studies using knockout mice, suggest that interleukin-19 suppresses hapten-dependent skin inflammation in elicitation phase of contact hypersensitivity.

  2. Attenuated colitis in IL-19-deficient animals was associated with reduced numbers of IL-6-producing macrophages in the inflamed colonic lamina propria. Microbial-driven expression of IL-19 by intestinal macrophages may contribute to the pathogenesis of inflammatory bowel disease.

  3. IL-19 can promote angiogenesis in the absence of hypoxia by at least two distinct mechanisms: 1) direct effects on vascular cells and 2) indirect effects by stimulation of macrophages.

  4. IL-19 plays an anti-inflammatory role in the Th2-mediated colitis model.

  5. microglia may self-limit their inflammatory response by producing the negative regulator IL-19.

  8. Il-19 expression is increased in astrocytes following bacterial challenge.

  9. IL-19 is important for cutaneous wound healing because it upregulates KGF expression.

  10. IL-19 is a potent inhibitor of experimental atherosclerosis.

  11. IL-19 is pivotal in the pathogenesis of breast cancer.

  12. endogenous IL-19 is a constituent of the regulome that controls both processes in vivo

IL19 Protein Profile

Protein Summary

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytokine that belongs to the IL10 cytokine subfamily. This cytokine is found to be preferentially expressed in monocytes. It can bind the IL20 receptor complex and lead to the activation of the signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3). A similar cytokine in mouse is reported to up-regulate the expression of IL6 and TNF-alpha and induce apoptosis, which suggests a role of this cytokine in inflammatory responses. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the distinct isoforms have been described.
