SMAP2 encodes a member of the SPARC family (secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine/osteonectin/BM-40), which are highly expressed during embryogenesis and wound healing. Additionally we are shipping SMAP2 Proteins (6) and and many more products for this protein.

SMAP2 immunoprecipitated clathrin and AP-1 through a putative clathrin-binding domain and a CALM-binding domain, and SMAP2 mutants that did not interact with clathrin or AP-1 could not localize to recycling endosomes
Results also demonstrated a physical association between SMAP1 and SMAP2, which might serve as a basis for a functional interaction, and identified the intramolecular domains responsible for this association
In the current study, there were identified sequences in the carboxy-terminal region of SMAP2 that are critical for its specific subcellular localization and its specificity for Arf proteins.
analyses revealed that three common polymorphisms, rs2982510, rs2294752, and rs446738, were putatively associated with the increased susceptibility to AIA
SMAP2 has an ability to mediate the 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid response and is expressed only in restricted tissues.
This gene encodes a member of the SPARC family (secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine/osteonectin/BM-40), which are highly expressed during embryogenesis and wound healing. The gene product is a matricellular protein which promotes matrix assembly and can stimulate endothelial cell proliferation and migration, as well as angiogenic activity. Associated with pulmonary function, this secretory gene product contains a Kazal domain, two thymoglobulin type-1 domains, and two EF-hand calcium-binding domains. The encoded protein may serve as a target for controlling angiogenesis in tumor growth and myocardial ischemia. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
