Specificity
- Monoclonal antibody EP-2 stains Human hepatocytes and the majority of Human hepatocarcinomas. In Frozen sections, it stains the cytoplasm of hepatic cells and may be used as a marker of the liver. Cell preparations of hepatocellular carcinoma biopsies or cell lines are found to bind EP-2 on the cell surface. Monoclonal antibodies to liver cell processes are useful in the identification of hepatic carcinomas and normal organ structures. Two monoclonal antibodies to different liver substructures are offered which bind to subsets of hepatic carcinomas.
