ELISA: To detect hFGF-16 by direct ELISA (using 100 l/well antibody solution) this antibodycan be used at a concentration of 0.15 - 0.30 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatiblesecondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 ng/well of recombinant hFGF-16. Western Blot: To detect hFGF-16 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at aconcentration of 0.1 - 0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagentsthe detection limit for recombinant hFGF-16 is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing ornon-reducing conditions.
Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user. -

Background
- FGF16 belongs to the heparin-binding growth factors family. It induces hepatocellular proliferation, but has no biological effect on the heart. The FGF's play key roles in controlling tissue growth, morphogenesis, and repair in animals. Fibroblast Growth Factor 16 is a newly discovered heparin binding growth factor, which stimulates the proliferation and activation of cells that express the FGF receptors.Synonyms: FGF-16, Fibroblast growth factor 16
