The GFRa-1is a member of the GDNF receptor family. It is a glycosylphosphatidylinositol(GPI)-linked cell surface receptor for both GDNF and NTN, and mediatesactivation of the RET tyrosine kinase receptor (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gene/2674)
