    DCDC2

    Background

This gene encodes a protein with two doublecortin peptide domains. This domain has been demonstrated to bind tubulin and enhance microtubule polymerization. Mutations in this gene have been associated with Reading Disability (RD), also referred to as developmental dyslexia.
