  • Application Notes

Application Note: Anti-Lipoamide dehydrogenase Biotin Conjugated antibody has been tested by ELISA and western blot. This product is assayed against 1.0 μg of Lipoamide Dehydrogenase in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin #S000-03 and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:4,000 to 1:20,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:5,000

    Immunoprecipitation Dilution: 1:100

    ELISA Dilution: 1:5,000 - 1:20,000

  • Target

    DLD (Dihydrolipoamide Dehydrogenase (DLD))

    Alternative Name

    DLD LAD

    Background

Background: Anti-Lipoamide dehydrogenase recognizes the protein lipoamide dehydrogenase. Lipoamide dehydrogenase catalyzes the conversion of lipoamide to dihydrolipoamide with the concomitant oxidation of NADH to NAD+. Lipoamide dehydrogenase is known to play a role in alpha-ketoacid dehydrogenase complexes as well glycine cleavage system. Defects in lipoamide dehydrogenase result in congenital infantile acidosis and maple syrup urine disease. Anti-Lipoamide dehydrogenase is suitable for investigators interested in metabolism, neurology, and cancer.
