  • Application Notes

Application Note: Anti-Ribonuclease A Biotin Conjugated antibody has been tested by ELISA and western blot. This product is assayed against 1.0 μg of Ribonuclease A in a standard capture ELISA using Peroxidase Conjugated Streptavidin #S000-03 and ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) code # ABTS-100 as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature.  A working dilution of 1:3,000 to 1:13,000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product.

    Western Blot Dilution: 1:500 - 1:2,500

    Immunoprecipitation Dilution: 1:100

    ELISA Dilution: 1:150,000

  • Target

    RNASE1 (Ribonuclease, RNase A Family, 1 (Pancreatic) (RNASE1))

    Alternative Name

    RNASE1

    Background

Background: Anti-Ribonuclease A recognizes ribonuclease, an endoribonuclease that catalyzes the cleavage of the phosphodiester bond between 5'-ribose of a nucleotide and the phosphate group of a 3'-ribose of a pyrimidine nucleotide. Able to survive acidic and near boiling conditions, RNase A is highly stable. RNase A and its homologs have been demonstrated to have cytotoxic and cytostatic effects.
