Hematopoietic lineages rely on Fucosyltransferases to confer a surface carbohydrate phenotype, which mediates proper cell adhesion molecule recruitment and cell trafficking (4-6). Blood Group Lewis b is a carbohydrate determinant carried on both glycolipids and glycoproteins.
