Specificity
- Human transferrin complex between transferrin and soluble transferrin receptor. MAb 2A2 reacts with N-terminal domain of human transferrin with Kd=2.85 x 10-11 M. MAbs 2A2 and 1C10 do not cross-react with mouse, rabbit, bovine transferrin and with human lactoferrin. IgG1 for all MAbs

Application Notes
- Detection of transferrin in serum by sandwich immunoassay. Detection of transferrin - transferrin receptor complex by sandwich ELISA. All MAbs are working in ELISA. Recommended pairs for transferrin detection by sandwich immunoassay (coating – conjugate): 8B9 – 11D3, 8B9 – 12A6 Recommended MAbs for transferrin-transferrin receptor complex detection by ELISA sandwich method using anti-transferrin receptor MAb 23D10 (cat.No # 4Tr26) as coating: 23D10 – 8B9, 23D10 – 11D3 At 10-6 M MAbs 2A2 and 1C10 inhibit proliferation of Con-A stimulated peripheral blood lymphocytes. MAb 2A2 is working in indirect immunofluorescence on fixed, paraffin embedded human brain tissue.
