- Recognizes MART-1 at ~18kD. Labels melanomas and other tumors showing melanocytic differentiation. Does not stain tumor cells of epithelial, lymphoid, glial, or mesenchymal origin. Does not cross-react with MAGE-1 or tyrosinase protein. Predicted species cross-reactivity: Canine.

Approved: IHC, IHC-Fr, IHC-P (1 - 2 μg/mL), IP, WB (1 μg/mL)
Usage: Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry. Immunoprecipitation: Use Protein G, 2 μg antibody/mg protein lysate. Western Blot: 1 μg/mL for 2 hours at RT. Immunohistochemistry Frozen & formalin/paraffin: 1-2 μg/mL for 30 min. at RT. Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10 mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0 for 10-20 min., followed by cooling at RT for 20 min. Positive control: CaC1 melanoma cells and melanomas. -
