Characteristics

Reacts with the major 95-135 kDa sialoglycoprotein found on most human leukocytes and identical to the molecules called sialophorin or leukosialin. CD43 antigen is expressed on T cells, NK cells and granulocytes, but is not present on most peripheral blood B cells, RBCs, platelets and non-hematopoietic cells. CD43 may be involved in the regulations of B, T and NK cell function. This antibody is suitable for staining formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections with TUF pretreatment. This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis. Other applications were tested during antibody development only or reported in the literature.
