  • Specificity

This antibody reacts with Human Transferrin receptor which is expressed on proliferating lymphoblasts, majority of human tumor cell lines, normal peripheral blood monocytes.

    Cross-Reactivity (Details)

This antiserum was cross adsorbed using human, mouse and pig immunosorbentsto remove cross reactive antibodies. By immunoelectrophoresis and ELISA this antibody reacts specifically with Bovine albumin. Less than 0.1% cross reactivity 1 ml@ 1 mg/mlto human. mouse and pig albumin was detected. This antibody may cross react with albumin from other species

    Background

Albumin refers generally to any protein that is water soluble, which is moderately soluble in concentrated salt solutions, and experiences heat denaturation. They are commonly found in blood plasma, and are unique to other plasma proteins in that they are not glycosylated. Substances containing albumin, such as egg white, are called albuminoids.
