    Cytoplasmic Domain

    Specificity

This antibody detects Dopamine Receptor D3 (DRD3).

    Purification

    Immunoaffinity Chromatography.

    Immunogen

DRD3 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from 3rd cytoplasmic domain of human DRD3 / Dopamine Receptor D3.
  • Application Notes

Immunohistochemistry on Paraffin Sections (20 μg/mL). Antigen retrieval: Steam slides in 0.01 M sodium citrate buffer, pH 6.0, at 99-100 °C for 20 min. Remove from heat and let stand at room temperature in buffer for 20 min. Rinse in 1xTBS with Tween (TBST) for 1 min. at room temperature.
    Other applications not tested.
Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

  • Target

    DRD3 (Dopamine Receptor D3 (DRD3))

    Alternative Name

    Dopamine D3 Receptor

    Background

The DRD3 Dopamine Receptor is expressed in brain regions associated with cognitive, emotional, and endocrine functions. DRD3 mediates the effects of drugs used in the treatment of schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease. DRD3 also binds BP897, a potent inhibitor of drug-craving and cocaine-seeking behaviors. Mutations in DRD3 lead to sodium retention in the kidney, resulting in hypertension and increased locomotor activity in mice. Multiple isoforms of DRD3 are produced by alternative splicing.Synonyms: D(3) Dopamine receptor, D3DR, DRD3, Dopamin receptor D3, ETM1, FET1
