-
Specificity
- This affinity purified antibody detects an ~400kD protein, corresponding to the apparent molecular mass of Bassoon on SDSPAGE immunoblots, in samples from mouse and rat origins. Additional bands between 97 and 400kD are also identified and are reported to be proteolytic degradation products of Bassoon. By immunocytochemical analysis, this antibody displays a punctate distribution on cultured hippocampal neurons similar to that seen for synaptophysin. Species cross-reactivity: Mouse and Rat.
