-
Specificity
- Specific for endogenous levels of the ~48 kDa α1- and α2-subunits of the glycine receptor. Immunolabeling is blocked by preadsorption of the antibody with the peptide immunogen. No off-targets reported for other glycine receptor subunits.
-
Cross-Reactivity
- Human, Mouse, Rat
-
Characteristics
- Our Glycine Receptor rabbit polyclonal primary antibody is produced in-house. It detects Glycine Receptor and is antigen affinity purified from pooled serum. It is great for use in ELISA, WB, IHC.
-
Purification
- Prepared from pooled rabbit serum by affinity purification using a column to which the fusion protein immunogen was coupled.
-
Immunogen
- Synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acid residues from the N-terminal region of the alpha1 subunit of rat glycine, conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH).
-
Isotype
- IgG

Storage Comment
- The antibody should be reconstituted in 50 μl phosphate buffered saline (PBS: 137 mM NaCl, 7.5 mM Na2HPO4, 2.7 mM KCl, 1.5 mM KH2PO4, pH 7.4) before use. After reconstitution it is recommended that the undiluted antibody be aliquoted into smaller working volumes (10-30 uL/vial depending on usage) and stored long term at -20° C or -80° C, while keeping a working aliquot stored at 4° C for short term.
