    pThr202

    Specificity

The antibody detects endogenous level of Synaptotagmin II only when phosphorylated at threonine202.

    Purification

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

    Immunogen

Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pThr202 (R-K-T (p) -L-N) derived from Human. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

    Isotype

    IgG

    SYT2 (Synaptotagmin II (SYT2))

    Alternative Name

    Synaptotagmin II

    Background

The synaptotagmins are integral membrane proteins of synaptic vesicles thought to serve as Ca(2+) sensors in the process of vesicular trafficking and exocytosis. Calcium binding to synaptotagmin I participates in triggering neurotransmitter release at the synapse
