Specificity: The antibody detects endogenous level ofa-Synuclein only when phosphorylated at tyrosine 136.

Purification: The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography usingepitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removedby chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.

Immunogen: Peptide sequence around phosphorylation site of pTyr136 (Q-D-Y (p) -E-P) derived from Human a-Synuclein. Antibodies were produced by immunizing rabbits with synthetic phosphopeptide and KLH conjugates.

Induces fibrillization of microtubule-associated protein tau. Reduces neuronal responsiveness to various apoptotic stimuli, leading to a decreased caspase-3 activation.
