Specificity: Recognizes LPS of Salmonella typhimurium. Recognizes the "O" somatic antigens. Does not recognize the "H" flagella antigens.

Immunogen: Salmonella typhimurium mixture of ~90% of the 'O' antigens. Each serotype was grown overnight and harvested. The suspension was washed twice by centrifugation and resuspended in a physiological saline buffer.
