Background
OPLAH catalyzes the cleavage of 5-oxo-L-proline to form L-glutamate coupled to the hydrolysis of ATP to ADP and inorganic phosphate. ATP + 5-oxo-L-proline + 2 H2O = ADP + phosphate + L-glutamate.
